Error when checking or applying host profile compliance “coredump partition”

The following error message occurs when you either

• Check host profile compliance

• Apply host profile to the host

Call "HostProfileManager.GenerateConfigTaskList" for object "HostProfileManager"on vCenter Server "vcenter55.co.za" failed. Failed to execute command to configure or query coredump partition.  

Resolution:

Log in to the host (SSH) and run the following commands to configure the coredump partition:

esxcli system coredump partition get 
esxcli system coredump partition set -u 
esxcli system coredump partition set -e true -s

Once you have done the above you will be able to apply or check the host profile without a problem
